Politico: The European Union will withhold five billion euros of income from Russian assets
European Union (EU) intends to withhold five billion euros of income from blocked assets Russia, to pay legal battles with the owners of frozen accounts. Politico writes about this, Lenta.ru reports.
“Euroclear (settlement and clearing system – approx. URA.RU) <...> was allowed to retain profits <...> in the amount of 5 billion euros,” noted the authors of the material.
Information also appeared that the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice Denis Malyuska admitted that he had not received any information about the buffer in the amount of five billion euros.
