Yandex.Taxi plans to provide free rides during mass evacuations in all regions Russia, starting March 27. The company reported this.
As part of the new initiative, Yandex.Taxi will refund passengers the full cost of taxi trips in cases of forced mass evacuation from emergency or disaster zones.
It is clarified that the zones and times of emergency situations will be promptly coordinated with local authorities. Money will be automatically returned to those who used taxi services in dangerous areas, the company added.
Earlier, during the terrorist attack in the Moscow region, Yandex Taxi decided to make all trips from the Crocus City Hall area free for passengers. Yandex confirmed this information and added that for previously paid trips from this area, the service will return the money in full within two days.
