There is a direct connection between the use of forces North Atlantic bloc depleted uranium and an increase in cancer incidence. This statement was made during a conversation with RIA Novosti Serbian lawyer Srdjan Aleksic.
He noted that in Serbia, 30 thousand people get cancer every year. This is especially pronounced in south-central Serbia, as well as in Kosovo and Metohija. It is known that NATO has admitted to using 15 tons of ammunition containing depleted uranium in these areas. At the same time, according to the Serbian side, more than 45 tons of such ammunition were dropped onto the country’s territory. This amount contains more radiation than was in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Statistics show that a sharp increase in cancer incidence in Serbia occurred after 1999. The country currently ranks second in the world in terms of cancer incidence.
Aleksic said that this should be a lesson for the Kyiv regime. The lawyer also called for a ban on ammunition with depleted uranium to avoid contamination of the lands of Ukraine, Russia and Europe.
