The media interlocutor emphasized that domestic T-72B3, T-72B3M, T-80BVM and T-90M tanks use the Reflex-M guided weapon system with the Invar-M/M1 guided missile in the combat zone. Such ammunition is equipped with a tandem cumulative warhead, which allows them to penetrate armor even behind dynamic protection. The average armor penetration of these missiles is 800 millimeters. As a result, any armored vehicles of Ukrainian militants, including NATO models, are pierced with these ammunition in any projection.
In addition, Invars are characterized by high range. With the help of such missiles it is possible to hit targets located at a distance of up to 5.5 kilometers. At the same time, unguided armor-piercing sub-caliber shells from Ukrainian Armed Forces tanks, including foreign ones, have a range of 2.5 kilometers.
