MHS clarified: 4 Ukrainians died near Venice, 4 more were injured

For updated information, four Ukrainians died and four more were injured as a result of an accident with a bus that took place three days ago near Mestre, on the mainland of Venice.

Details: It is important to note that the Italian side has completed the identification of the people injured in the accident, and, for clarification, the number of dead Ukrainians, and not five, as previously reported. Four others were recovering from their wounds.

The affected people are receiving medical care in the hospitals of Mestre, Treviso and Padua. There is no threat to my life.

Ukrainian consuls provide consular assistance to Ukrainians, monitor their treatment and communicate with their families.

  • On the evening of June 3, a bus carrying tourists to the campsite near Margeria crashed near Venice. The bus flew off the overpass and fell from the height.
