According to expert estimates, prices for such cars may increase by 20-25%. The new measures, which come into force on April 1, 2024, provide for tightening control over the calculation of payments for the import of cars from the EAEU countries.
Russians who previously ordered cars from private owners had to face an additional payment for the recycling fee at commercial rates. As a result of the new rules, if taxes and the fees are not paid in full, then motorists will have to pay an additional recycling fee.
At the same time, it is clarified that for those importing into the EAEU with the customs clearance procedure in Russia, nothing will change.
