In St. Petersburg, a lawyer hugged a colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and gave him 8 million from the FSB

According to information received from Fontanka, yesterday FSB operatives detained Colonel Shikhovtsov, head of the Main Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The colonel was detained while receiving a bribe of 8 million rubles. For a long time, the colonel’s department had been investigating a criminal case against the former director of a social catering plant for embezzlement of 25 million rubles.

Starting from 10 million, the bribe amount gradually increased to 15 million, including remuneration to intermediaries. However, the businessman did not agree with this figure and turned to the FSB for help. On Friday, November 24, FSB officers first detained the intermediary, who, without much objection, agreed to transfer the marked money to lawyer Oleg Kosatenko. Kosatenko is an old acquaintance of Shikhovtsov and previously, until 2017, worked as a deputy department in the same Main Investigation Department.

Having come to him, the lawyer could not refuse the FSB and agreed to cooperate. Putting on a microphone, he visited Colonel Shikhovtsov, then hugged him tightly, thus handing over the bribe. After these actions, Shikhovtsov was immediately detained.

Earlier it became known that a resident of Kuzbass received 9 years for setting fire to the car of a driver who did not let him pass. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
