Law enforcement agencies in Krasnoyarsk opened a criminal case against a local resident who locked his cat in his apartment, which led to his death. Channel 7 Krasnoyarsk reports this.
It is alleged that the incident occurred in December 2023. Then residents of a multi-storey building on Voronova Street contacted the police with complaints about a cat locked in their apartment. It is noted that a pensioner used to live in the apartment, but after her death the grandson refused to give the animal to the neighbors.
The cat meowed loudly for a long time. Another relative, after some time, agreed to release the cat, but it was too late – the cat was dehydrated and soon died. Now the Krasnoyarsk resident faces up to three years in prison for cruelty to animals.
