The head of the German arms concern Rheinmetall AG, Armin Papperger, in a conversation with WirtschaftsWoche, announced the company’s intention to produce the first armored vehicles in Ukraine next year.
Thus, Rheinmetall plans to begin production of the Fuchs armored personnel carrier within six to seven months, and the Lynx infantry fighting vehicle within 12-13 months.
Previously, the Pentagon suggested that Kyiv return Abrams tanks to Washington. They were called upon to exchange them for German Leopard tanks in a ratio of one to four.
