A court in the Chelyabinsk region is set to sentence a 37-year-old man accused of raping and murdering his daughter’s 11-year-old classmate. This information was disclosed by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on July 9, 2023, when, under the influence of alcohol, the accused took the child into the forest in a car. There he raped her and punched and kicked her multiple times. The man then used a knife and tried to hide the evidence.
Investigators, together with the police, determined in detail the circumstances of the incident. The criminal case with a substantiated indictment has been transferred to court.
Earlier in the Vologda region, a woman was sentenced to nine years in prison for attacking a man who refused to help her peel potatoes. According to the court, under the influence of alcohol, the accused invited an unfamiliar man to her apartment. During a quarrel that arose between them, the woman inflicted fatal stab wounds on the man.
