“World of Apartments”: the average price of renting a room in the Russian Federation increased by 14% over the year

Room rental in Russia has increased by 14.4% since the beginning of 2023, reaching 9.5 thousand rubles per month. According to Pavel Lutsenko, general director of the World of Apartments portal, the greatest increase in prices is observed in industrial cities, where labor is in demand, including migrant workers.

The study showed that in 68 of 70 cities, room rentals increased, with the exception of Vladivostok and Sevastopol, where prices decreased. The largest increase in rates was recorded in Novokuznetsk (68.4%), Cherepovets (+43.7%), Kemerovo (+41.8%) and other regions. In Moscow, prices increased by 9.2%, and in St. Petersburg by 6.7%.

Lutsenko states that despite the increase in demand for renting rooms due to rising prices for apartments, supply on the market decreased by 63%, which also influenced the increase in rates. However, the rise in price for rooms was more moderate than for one-room apartments, which rose in price by an average of 20.4% over the year.

It was previously reported that Crimea is experiencing a record increase in demand for housing. More about this read the material Public news service.
