Mash: Galkin* and Danilko received fines for anti-Russian statements in Dubai

Foreign agents Maxim Galkin* and Andrey Danilko (Verka Serduchka) had problems with the Dubai government. The first was fined 100 thousand dirhams (about 2.4 million rubles), and the second is now permanently banned from entering the UAE. The common reason is political statements at concerts and events, the Mash telegram channel.

The story began with the fact that the state body DTCM (analogous to Roskomnadzor) received a recording of Galkin’s speech in Dubai in 2023. The content of the speech was standard: negative comments about Russians, positive ones about Ukrainians, and the climax – the continuation of the phrase “glory to Ukraine” for the audience. DTCM did not like this, which led to a fine of 100 thousand dirhams last year (the amount depends on the income from the concert). Despite promising to remove the sharp jokes, Galkin changed his mind.

The same difficulties awaited Danilko: at a corporate party in 2022, the artist managed to utter several anti-Russian statements, inciting interethnic conflicts. This resulted in a fine and an entry ban.

Now in Dubai they are especially closely monitoring the performances of stars in order to avoid political scandals. Violators are identified and fined: inappropriate statements are sent to DTCM, then to the police department for work with visitors, and then to the Security Service. Possible penalties range from fines to inadmissibility status.
