RIAN: Türkiye is counting on Putin’s visit in February

Turkey expects that a working visit to the country by Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place in February. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to a diplomatic source in Ankara.

It is noted that everything will depend on the schedules of state leaders.

“Our expectations are approximately February. But, of course, everything will depend on the leaders’ schedule,” the statement said. At the moment, coordination is underway through diplomatic channels.

Let us remember that Putin planned to meet with his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan at the beginning of the year.

As before wrote Public news service, head of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin, at a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to the Russian Federation Tanju Bilgic, expressed hope that Ankara will condemn the incident with the Il-76. He called the incident an act of international terrorism, which cannot be left without condemnation and adequate assessment.
