The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Khabarovsk Territory shared information about the capture of a local resident who caught and ate a guard dog.
Law enforcement agencies received a complaint about a man who allegedly entered a garage cooperative, untied a dog, took it to a forest belt, killed it, and then ate it.
The next day, the police caught a man who had been sneaking into the cooperative for several days and feeding the dog.
“As soon as the animal began to recognize him, the man untied the leash and took the animal into a forest belt in the suburbs of Khabarovsk, where he killed and butchered it. Subsequently, according to the detainee, he consumed the meat for food,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes.
Earlier it became known that a pre-investigation check was launched in Omsk after information appeared about an attack by stray dogs on a child. The incident occurred on January 11.
