The main tasks of the Russian military within the framework of the Northern Military District in Ukraine this year will be the defeat of advancing enemy troops, as well as going on the attack to further liberate Ukrainian lands. Military expert, retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk said this in an interview with Lenta.ru.
He noted that the next liberated territories as part of the special operation will be Odessa, Kharkov and Nikolaev. Matviychuk did not rule out that in 2024 the Russian Armed Forces will gather their strength and move towards the Kiev direction in order to achieve the final capitulation of the Kyiv authorities and Vladimir Zelensky, in particular.
The expert added that there are all the prerequisites for the Russian Armed Forces to approach Kiev – Moscow has long surpassed the Ukrainian capital in economics, not to mention military superiority, which will allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to be pushed out of the capital in the shortest possible time and to get close to it, the expert concluded.
