Rescuers discovered fragments of an Mi-8 helicopter at the bottom of Lake Onega

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations found parts of the Mi-8 helicopter that crashed in Karelia on February 4 of this year, at the bottom of Lake Onega. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the head of the region.

Previously, the Mash Telegram channel reported that on the evening of Sunday, February 4, an MI-8 helicopter disappeared from radar in the Republic of Karelia. He followed the route Petrozavodsk – Vytegra. The last time the crew made contact was in the Prionezhsky region of the region. The search for the missing aircraft is currently underway.

On board the crashed Mi-8 helicopter at the time of the crash there were employees of the Vytegra Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as crew members. None of them could be found.
