Israeli Health Minister Moshe Arbel has ordered a ban on treating wounded Palestinian Hamas militants in public hospitals. About it reports newspaper The Jerusalem Post.

“In these difficult times, the healthcare system must fully focus on treating victims of massacres, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers and preparing for the next [возможной атаке]”, he explained.

The minister added that the task of treating militants “substantially harms these efforts,” so he ordered that medical care be denied to Hamas fighters. Arbel also called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to issue instructions to the relevant authorities.

As The Jerusalem Post notes, on October 11, the Sourasky Medical Center reported that the militant taken to the hospital was not hospitalized. He was sent for treatment to a clinic at the prison in Ramla.

Hamas attacked a music festival taking place near the borders of the Gaza Strip and also took control of nearby settlements in southern Israel on October 7. In response, the Israeli Army (IDF) launched Operation Iron Swords. The government announced that the country was going into a state of war.

On October 9, Palestinian movement spokesman Moussou Abu Marzouqa said Hamas was open to discussing a potential truce with Israel. Previously, Egypt had proposed a truce until the exchange of prisoners was completed. At the Israeli Foreign Ministry excluded the possibility of negotiations until the goals of the operation in Gaza are achieved.

According to the latest data, the death toll in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is approaching to 2500. The death toll on the Israeli side reached 1300 people, on the Palestinian side – almost 1200.
