The Polish Foreign Ministry was outraged by the fact that the Auschwitz concentration camp was called Polish

Radoslaw Sikorski, head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, expressed his dissatisfaction with the European Commission calling the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Auschwitz “Polish.” He stated this on the social network X.

Let us recall that in the video, which was published on the social network by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, there was an inscription that the Auschwitz camp was located in Poland, without explaining that at that time the country was under the occupation of Nazi Germany.

“When writing about the Nazi death camp at Auschwitz, it should be noted that it was created under German occupation. <…> Information on the social networks of the European Commission will be clarified; the Polish European Commissioner did not present the Polish point of view in a timely manner,” Sikorski said.

Earlier, Radoslaw Sikorski said that the new government of the country does not intend to file a lawsuit against Russia in the European Court of Human Rights in the case of a plane crash near Smolensk on April 10, 2010. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
