The accused of the attempt on the life of Zakhar Prilepin was left in pre-trial detention for another 3 months

The Basmanny District Court of Moscow extended the period of detention in relation to Alexander Permyakov, who organized the attempt on the life of Zakhar Prilepin. He will remain in pre-trial detention for another three months, until January 6. reported in the Telegram channel of the capital’s courts of general jurisdiction.

Permyakov was charged under paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Art. 205 (a terrorist act that resulted in the death of a person), part 4 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, forwarding or carrying of explosives or explosive devices).

The meeting was held behind closed doors. Before the start of the trial on the merits, Permyakov stated in court that he has citizenship of Ukraine and Russia, completed 9 years of school, and also has dependent minor children, but they are not registered in his name.

The investigator requested a closed regime, a Vedomosti correspondent reported. According to him, the case materials contain personal data of persons involved in anti-terrorist operations.

Prilepin’s car was blown up on the morning of May 6 in the Nizhny Novgorod region. As a result of the explosion, Prilepin’s assistant and comrade-in-arms, native of Lugansk Alexander Shubin, who previously served in the LPR, died. The writer himself suffered and underwent several operations. He is currently undergoing treatment. August 1 Prilepin received position of deputy commander of the Russian Guard regiment, created on the basis of the Oplot battalion, on August 14 he appropriated rank of lieutenant colonel of the Russian Guard.

In May, the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, said that Permyakov did not act alone and the investigation was identifying his accomplices. He called the accused the perpetrator. According to Bastrykin, the attempt on Prilepin’s life was a special operation of the Ukrainian special services. It was reported that Permyakov admitted to working for the Ukrainian intelligence services.
