YouGov: Smokers work less than non-smokers

A YouGov study found that smokers spend an average of 25 minutes smoking every working day, which equates to 92 hours a year, or almost two weeks of working time.

This means that smokers work two weeks less per year than their non-smoking counterparts. Most respondents admitted that they do not take a shorter lunch break because of smoking breaks, which ultimately leads to them spending more time on vacation compared to their non-smoking colleagues.

However, only a fifth of smokers noted that their colleagues express dissatisfaction due to short breaks.

How wrote Public News Service, doctors said that smoking on an empty stomach leads to gastritis and ulcers.
