Art critic Nina Moleva, who bequeathed paintings worth two billion dollars to Putin, has died

Art critic and writer Nina Moleva passed away at the age of 98. The press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation spoke about her death.

The woman died on Sunday, February 11. She wrote more than 120 books dedicated to the work of famous artists such as Vladimir Borovikovsky, Pavel Chistyakov, Ivan Nikitin, Konstantin Korovin and many others.

During her lifetime, Moleva made a will to transfer a collection of more than 200 paintings to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The total value of the paintings bequeathed to the Russian leader is about two billion dollars.

The writer explained her decision by saying that Putin is the legal representative of the entire state.
