Vice Speaker of the State Duma Chernyshov proposed transferring employees to remote work during snowfall and ice

The State Duma has taken the initiative to give citizens the opportunity to work from home in the event of adverse weather conditions. These include ice, snowdrifts and increased precipitation. TASS reports this. It is clarified that a letter with a similar initiative addressed to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov was sent by Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov.

“I ask you to consider the initiative to amend the Labor Code of the Russian Federation in terms of allowing the temporary transfer of an employee to remote work at the initiative of the employer in the event of precipitation above the established norm, poor visibility on the roads, as well as snowdrifts and ice,” journalists quote this letter.

The parliamentarian expressed the opinion that such a measure is necessary, since during the winter months logistics become significantly more complicated and the accident rate increases. This leads to the fact that the load on transport itself becomes high, against which the likelihood of being late for work due to snowfalls and other seasonal weather phenomena increases.

Previously Public Security Service reportedthat the heavy snowfall that hit the capital on February 15 led to an increase in prices for taxi services. State Duma deputy, first deputy leader of the A Just Russia – For Truth faction Dmitry Gusev commented on what was happening.
