US Secretary General Blinken blocked a G7 statement condemning the elections in Russia

Secretary of State USA Antony Blinken blocked the text of the G7 statement, which discussed the presidential elections that ended the day before in the Russian Federation, TASS reports.

By making such a decision, the Americans are going to deprive Russia a reason to “interfere” in the US elections. Advisor to the American leader Sullivan gave this resolution a positive conclusion. However, the State Department insisted that the wording of this statement was inappropriate.

Western politicians have already spoken out about the elections in Russia, after which Russian official Mikhail Ulyanov was accused of disrespect for the principles of democracy.

Earlier, Matvienko instructed to prepare an appeal about Western interference in the elections. More about this read in the material of the Public News Service.
