US reports 11 American deaths in Israel


The death toll of US citizens after the attack of the Palestinian group Hamas on Israel was 11 people, reported President of the country Joe Biden.

“Sadly, we now know that those killed included at least 11 American citizens, many of whom had found second homes in Israel,” the White House said in a statement.

Biden added that American citizens are also among the missing, and authorities are working with Israeli officials to obtain more information about their whereabouts.

“The United States and Israel are inseparable partners, and I reiterated to the Prime Minister [Беньямину] Netanyahu, when we said yesterday that the United States will continue to make sure Israel has everything it needs to defend itself and its people,” he concluded.

The total death toll in the clash, which began on October 7 after an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Israel, according to the latest data, exceeded 1,500 people. In Israel, 900 people died, in Palestine – about 700 people.

In response to the attack, the Israeli army launched Operation Iron Swords, and the government declared the country to be at war. The exact number of Israelis abducted is unknown, but Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen previously said that more than 100 people were captured by the militants. The media reported that Hamas has prisoners with dual citizenship, including Russian.
