US court sentences WikiLeaks CIA informant to 40 years in prison

Joshua Schulte, a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) programmer and WikiLeaks whistleblower, was sentenced to 40 years in prison by a United States court. RIA Novosti agency reports this.

Judge Jesse Fuhrman sentenced Schulte to the long term for several crimes, including contempt of court, espionage and possession of child pornography.

It is noted that the defendant also transferred the department’s files he stole to the Wikileaks portal. The information transmitted to Schulte was published on the Julian Assange portal starting in 2017.
