UKMTO: British ship attacked near Yemeni port of Hodeidah

A British naval vessel was attacked near a Yemeni port. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) under the country’s Navy announced this on Tuesday, February 6th, on a social network.

As noted in the report, the Houthis attacked the ship 57 nautical miles (105.5 kilometers) west of the port of Hodeidah. According to the report, the shell was fired from the left side of the ship. The ammunition flew over the bridge and caused minor damage to the glazing.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties as a result of the incident. It is known that after the incident the ship continued to follow the route.
