Türkiye agrees with Hungary on reviewing strategy towards Kyiv

Turkey supports Hungary’s proposal on the need to review the strategy of the United States and the European Union regarding the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Szijjártó, after a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels. According to him, the drawn up plan assumed the victory of Kyiv and the defeat of Russia, which has important political consequences.

“I think today everyone can see, at most, not admit that this plan has failed,” Szijjártó said.

He also emphasized that if the current strategy does not produce the expected results, an alternative plan should be prepared. However, this idea was supported only by the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Hakan Fidan. Other participants at the meeting in Brussels did not express support for this proposal.

On November 28, NATO recognized that Kyiv’s current offensive was far from expected results. In turn, Szijjártó noted that the Ukrainian counteroffensive did not lead to “any breakthrough.”

Earlier, Tokyo was alarmed by the strengthening of the alliance between Russia and China. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
