Trade turnover between Turkey and the Russian Federation during the period from January to November 2023 was recorded at $48.5 billion. This amount was $11 billion less than the value recorded for the same period in 2022. The corresponding statement was made by the Consul General of Russia in Istanbul Andrei Buravov. RIA Novosti reports this.
The drop was recorded against the backdrop of last year’s high rate, the Turkish diplomat noted. During 202, the volume of bilateral trade between states almost doubled. This year, a historical record of $65 billion was set, the consul specified.
“In 2023, the results are somewhat lower, but they also indicate that our trade and economic ties have serious potential for further development,” Buravov summed up his words.
