Those accused of committing a terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall on March 22 were suspected of having connections with foreign radical preachers. Lenta.ru writes about this.

The publication noted that two of the defendants in the criminal case received instructions during a trip to Turkeyand the rest were recruited already in the Russian Federation.

They met about three or four weeks ago. The attackers had not previously been known to adhere to radical Islam. They did not leave in public space or in social networks any evidence of connections with radical Islamist groups.

In February 2024, Shamsidin Fariduni was in Istanbul. On the 23rd, he published eight posts on the social network from there. The photographs were posted with the geolocation: “Aksaray, Istanbul.” One of the photographs was allegedly taken at the Fatih Mosque.

During the arrest, the suspect stated that on March 4 he returned from Turkey to Russia. According to the man, he needed to cross the border “for the sake of documents, (they) ran out.” According to media reports, on March 7, Fariduni was photographed inside the Crocus building.

It is clarified that we are talking about a native and citizen of Tajikistan, who was born on September 17, 1998. Registered in the city of Krasnogorsk Moscow region. Officially he was employed as a laborer at a factory. The 25-year-old man has a wife and an eight-month-old child.

According to Izvestia, Ukrainian intelligence services closely cooperate with such radical preachers as Abdullah Kosteksky and Abu Umar Sasitlinsky. According to the newspaper, journalist Anvar (Andrey) Derkach, who converted to Islam and is “directly related” to the Ukrainian special services, speaks on their behalf.

All accused are citizens of Tajikistan. These are 32-year-old Dalerjon Mirzoev, 30-year-old Rachabalizoda Saidakrami Murodali (1994) and 19-year-old Muhammadsobir Fayzov (2004).
