Abkhazia can become a member of the Union State when establishing political and economic relations with Belarus, stated “RIA Novosti” Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic Sergei Shamba.
“In order for there to be political relations between states, there needs to be interest on both sides. Therefore, we want to start with economic cooperation. There is interest in Abkhazia in Belarus. Some Belarusian projects are being discussed in Abkhazia, and ours are being discussed in Belarus,” he told the agency.
