The Rada praised the law that would allow the start of negotiations about joining the EU
On June 17, the Verkhovna Rada voted for a law on strengthening financial monitoring of politically significant persons or Politically Exposed Persons (PEP).
Dzherelo: Deputy of the faction “Voice” Yaroslav Zheleznyak, informs “European truth”
Details: 276 people’s deputies voted for the draft law No. 9296-d, and not a single vote was against.
“The main innovation: instead of the three fates after the planting, the Top Posadovtsy (PEP) actually achieve the pre-primary status of the PEP. At the same time, the bill will strengthen the independence of the SPF (subjects of primary financial monitoring, for example treasure, banks) for unsecured financial services,” the deputy wrote.
In other words, the wording of the document complies with international standards for combating capital fraud and combating AML/CFT terrorism, which will be insured by the IMF.
“This is also the last word for the beginning of discussions about Ukraine’s membership in the EU,” Zheleznyak added.
Guess what:
- At the beginning of spring, President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the Verkhovna Rada not to praise the laws necessary to open negotiations on EU membership, having forgotten about it, about the PEP law.
- Also, Versya Zelensky and the new EU Ambassador Katarina Maternova discussedwithin a month, complete work on these criteria of the European Commission.
- The leaf fall of the European Commission can present a bitter proof of how to expand. It turns out that the EC recommends opening official negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
