The next day, Daria Trepova, who, according to investigators, handed over a bust filled with explosives to Tatarsky, was detained. She admits guilt in what she did. She is currently in pre-trial detention center, court date on August 25 extended She is under arrest until December 2.
In June, the Investigative Committee named the organizer of the terrorist attack, who corresponded with Trepova on social networks and gave her instructions on preparing for the terrorist attack. He turned out to be journalist Roman Popkov (included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring), at the same time he was put on the wanted list due to possible involvement in the murder of a military correspondent. The investigation into him continues.
The investigation established that the preparation of terrorist attacks was carried out by persons living on the territory of Ukraine and who did not agree with the conduct of the special operation. The purpose of the terrorist attack was “to intimidate the population and encourage them to abandon views that approve of the goals and objectives of the Northern Military District,” the Investigative Committee added.
