The President of Brazil said he would invite Putin to the G20 summit in 2024

The Brazilian authorities decided to invite the head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to the next G20 events, which are planned for the coming annual period, without paying attention to the order approved by the ICC.

The relevant information was shared by the head of state, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, as part of a dialogue with the local information portal Correio Brasiliense.

“Whether Putin comes or not, he will be invited. There is a process against him, he must evaluate the consequences,” reads the text of the statement he made on this matter.

He pointed out the fact that he does not consider it necessary to indicate his own attitude to the actions of the ICC, drawing attention to the fact that the Russian Federation, in a similar manner to the United States, refuses to recognize the jurisdiction of the organization.

Let us recall that the BRICS negotiating positions will be strengthened as a result of Brazil’s accession to OPEC+. This was stated by Venezuelan analyst Hernan Zamora. More about this read the material Public News Service.
