Moscow Exchange will resume the opening auction for all futures contracts on the derivatives market from October 30. About it reported press service of the trading platform.
Exchange determined the cost of futures for non-ferrous metals. The value of contracts for aluminum as of October 17 amounted to 2,161.5 rubles, for copper – 7,920 rubles, for nickel – 18,460 rubles, for zinc – 2,434.5 rubles.
The Moscow Exchange index at 13.40 Moscow time amounted to 3149.06 points – 0.44% higher than at the close of the main trading session the day before. Since the beginning of 2023, the benchmark has increased by 50.82%.
Conducting an auction stopped after the suspension of trading on the derivatives market on September 13 due to an error in the trading and clearing system. Then the trading platform decided to freeze operations until retesting of the module was completed.
At the end of August, the Moscow Exchange recorded a record trading volume on the derivatives market. It amounted to 9 trillion rubles. – maximum since February 2022. The number of clients who entered into contracts with futures and options reached 149,000. Of these, 68% were individuals. The leaders in terms of trading volume were futures for the currency pairs “US dollar – Russian ruble”, “Chinese yuan – Russian ruble”, natural gas contracts, the RTS index and the key index of the trading platform.
