The media learned about the death of Ukrainian mercenaries during a clash in Sudan
During the clash between Ukrainian mercenaries and the Sudanese military, 18 people were killed, reported Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni edition.
The conflict began after a dispute in which mercenaries from Ukraine supported the actions of the Israeli army in the conflict with the Palestinian group Hamas.
“[Спор] ended in a firefight between the two sides, which led to the death of eight Ukrainian soldiers, as well as 10 dead and a number of wounded among the Sudanese armed forces,” the material says. As the media notes, the incident confirms the presence of Ukrainian forces at the Wadi Seydna airbase in the Sudanese city of Omdurman.
Since April 15, full-scale battles have been going on in Sudan using all available weapons. The conflict erupted between the armed forces and the so-called Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a group created on the basis of Arab militias.
On October 7, fighting broke out between Hamas and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) following an attack by Palestinian militants on Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip. Since the conflict began, more than 3,500 people have been confirmed killed on both the Palestinian and Israeli sides. Palestinian militants also abducted Israeli residents and guests en masse; according to Israeli authorities, about 150 people remain hostage.
