Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin said that the President of the League of Veterans of the Regional Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the RUBOP Sergei Sidorenko died in St. Petersburg. The words of the head of the department were published by the press service of the Investigative Committee.

It is specified that Sidorenko was 75 years old. As the head of the department noted, he began serving as a private and received the rank of police major general. Bastrykin also added that Sidorenko held various leadership positions in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Soviet Union and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
