The bodies of 260 dead were found at the site of a music festival in southern Israel.


Members of the Israeli search and rescue organization Zaka discovered at least 260 bodies in the kibbutz (commune) Reim near the border with the Gaza Strip, where the open-air music festival Nature Party took place on the night of October 6-7. This was reported by a representative of a non-governmental organization, transmits TV channel I24.

On October 7, the Palestinian group Hamas began military operations against Israel. Early in the morning, Palestinian militants attacked the army’s border units and freely entered Israeli populated areas, where they captured an unknown number of hostages, both military and civilian. The Israeli Army (IDF) responded by launching Operation Iron Swords, and the Israeli government announced that the country had entered a state of war.

According to The Times of Israel, as a result of an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Israel died over 700 citizens of the country. In Palestine, more than 370 deaths were reported, with about 2,200 injured.

Israeli Ambassador to Moscow Alexander Ben Zvi statedthat Hamas kidnapped a large number of people during the attack on Israel, among them there may be Russian citizens. However, there were no reports of Russians among the hostages.
