Honored figure skating coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova, in an interview with Match TV, stated that if she were Eteri Tutberidze, she would have admitted her guilt in the Kamila Valieva case, thereby relieving the girl of responsibility for what happened.

“If, God forbid, such a situation had happened to me, I would have said that I was to blame. I don’t evaluate the actions of Eteri Tutberidze, but I would say that I was guilty, I mixed it up, I gave the wrong thing, but I would relieve the child of responsibility for this,” the publication quotes the interlocutor as saying.

Tarasova added that she sees this as the only correct solution to the situation.
