State Duma Deputy Zhurova: After the Ukrainian conflict, sanctions on Russia will be quickly lifted

Western states will lift sanctions on the Russian Federation some time after the end of the Ukrainian conflict. After this, trade will be restored in a fairly short time. At the same time, government accounts in foreign banks may continue to remain frozen for a long time. State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova shared the corresponding opinion during a conversation with Lenta.ru.

She also expressed the opinion that full sales of oil and gas would be allowed again soon after the end of the conflict. She argued this by saying that Western countries are keenly interested in this. “Gradually everything will return to the way it was. Whether immediately is another question,” the parliamentarian noted.

She also suggested that peace agreements with Ukraine could lead to Russia committing to pay for some of the reconstruction work. The deputy also suggested that they could try to achieve this by continuing to freeze state funds.

“This unit will try to keep us in this state for as long as possible. And trade and exchange will be restored very quickly. Only accounts can remain frozen for a long time,” Zhurova summed up her words.

Previously Public News Service reported, that the leadership of the US state of New Jersey temporarily stopped the implementation of the law on restrictions in relation to companies associated with the Russian Federation after a court decision. The Federal Court issued a temporary constitutional restraining order against Kyocer.
