Member of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs Dmitry Belik warned NATO against deploying nuclear weapons in Poland.
Warsaw needs it “not for protection from an imaginary Russian threat, but to intimidate its neighbors,” the State Duma deputy emphasized. According to him, the authorities of this republic are showing “extremely aggressive anger.”
The parliamentarian called the possible appearance of nuclear weapons in Poland “an extreme degree of approach to a global conflict.” Russia and the West want to avoid this, he emphasized.
The Polish authorities are trying to show themselves as the “true masters of Europe” with the help of a “nuclear baton,” the RIA Novosti speaker concluded.
Earlier, Polish General Jaroslaw Kraszewski said that Warsaw could receive nuclear weapons as part of the NATO Nuclear sharing program. More about this read in the material of the Public News Service.
