State Department calls racially motivated extremism a growing threat to the United States

Extremism based on ethnic and racial intolerance is a growing threat to the United States and allies. This is stated in the US State Department’s report on the fight against terrorism, which was published on Thursday.

As the report states, “violent extremism driven by racial or ethnic intolerance poses a growing transnational threat to the United States and allies.”

It is specifically emphasized that extremist groups, which consist of white supremacists and people willing to fight government power, continue to promote their narratives, raise funds, recruit people and carry out terrorist attacks in the United States and the rest of the world. It is noteworthy that in the top ten most dangerous extremist groups, according to the State Department, seven are networks of the Islamic State banned in the Russian Federation.

It was previously reported that the United States needs to establish interaction with the Russian side as part of the fight against terrorism. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
