St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (SPIMEX) reported on temporary suspension of trading. The commodity platform did not specify the reasons.
“At 11:25 Moscow time, trading in the commodity sections of JSC SPbMTSB will be suspended. The reasons are being clarified. The time of resumption of trading will be announced additionally. We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” the exchange said in a statement.
A representative of SPbMTSB declined to comment in a conversation with Vedomosti.
“SPbMTSB”) is the largest commodity exchange in Russia, which organizes exchange trading in the markets of petroleum products, oil, gas, liquefied gas, timber and building materials, mineral fertilizers, as well as on the derivatives market. About 99% of organized trading volumes in these market segments in the Russian Federation pass through it. At the end of 2022, more than 5,300 trading organizations and their clients were registered in the SPIMEX sections.
