Shoigu: the government allowed defense industry enterprises to use all reserves
The government has provided enterprises of the military-industrial complex (DIC) with the opportunity to use all reserves to increase the production of artillery systems. About it reported Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu during a meeting on the supply and prospects for the development of barrel artillery and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
“Federal executive authorities have taken measures to increase their (artillery systems – ed.) production. The government of the Russian Federation has granted the defense industry the right to use all reserves, including mobilization capacities,” he said.
During his speech, Shoigu drew attention to the importance of prompt production of artillery systems and ammunition for them. In this regard, the Ministry of Defense also “simplified the procedure for concluding contracts, reduced the volume of testing, and reduced the requirements for the selection of components, subject to maintaining the quality of the final product.”
In early October, during an inspection of the implementation of the state defense order at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov, where Su-34 fighter-bombers are being produced and repaired, Shoigu instructed increase the pace of production and repair of equipment. At the same time, the Minister of Defense noted that some factories are “ahead of the curve”; they have already reached the 2024 program.
