Shmygal said that Ukraine is building a three-level defense line

Ukraine will build a three-level defense line. Slovakia promised to help with the necessary engineering equipment. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal at a briefing with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in Uzhgorod, RBC reports.

Slovakia will supply armored excavators and two Bozena-4 mine clearance vehicles. A large-scale defense line, according to Shmygal, will provide “protection in all directions” and will also allow “containing the enemy and moving forward.” The Ukrainian government has allocated tens of billions of hryvnia for these purposes.

It is reported that Fico was previously against the supply of weapons to Kyiv. But during negotiations with the Ukrainian prime minister, he stated that he would not block the sale of weapons and would support the financial assistance program for Ukraine from the European Union.

Earlier it was reported that Vladimir Zelensky may soon replace the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. It is possible that the current head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kirill Budanov, will be appointed to this post. More details in material Public News Service.
