SBU Colonel Starikov: forced mobilization will lead Ukraine to disaster

The Russian army is preparing for a decisive offensive on the front line against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where, according to retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov, forcibly mobilized Ukrainians will concentrate.

“They (Russia – Ed.) are accumulating forces <...> in order to launch large-scale offensive operations in the area where they find a “hole”, a weak point,” the officer expressed his fears.

In an interview with the YouTube channel “Yes it is,” Starikov said that the Ukrainian leadership itself stimulates a future breakthrough of the contact line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by sending inexperienced conscripts who are not familiar with the terrain, have insufficient training and do not want to participate in hostilities. The expert is confident that it is in these areas that the Russian army will deliver strong blows.

“Those who invent this insanity can lead to disaster,” Starikov warned.

It became known earlierthat Russia has announced a request to hold a meeting of the UN Security Council on Monday, February 12, in connection with the anniversary of the signing of the Minsk agreements.

It was also reportedthat Margarita Simonyan expressed her opinion regarding the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, arguing that “a hole from which it is impossible to get out” awaits him.
