Savchuk: Hackers hacked the website of the Russian Red Cross

Chairman Russian Red Cross (RKK) Pavel Savchuk shared information about the hacking of the organization’s website by hackers. He emphasized in an interview with TASS that the RKK does not carry out paid evacuation from the territory of the Belgorod region.

“The website of the Russian Red Cross was subject to a hacker attack. <…> Access to the site may be temporarily limited. Our Belgorod branch provides assistance to everyone who needs it as usual,” Savchuk said.

Earlier it became known that in February 2024, a cyber attack was committed on the International Monetary Fund (IMF). It is noted that during the hacker attack, eleven corporate email addresses were hacked, and they were restored. An investigation into the incident is currently underway. Previously, the head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, stated that the strongest cyber attack the video surveillance system at polling stations in the Tyumen region was attacked on the morning of Friday, March 15. She noted that the attack was external and professionally planned.
