Salavat Yulaev beat CSKA in the KHL match

The match of the regular championship of the Continental Hockey League (KHL), in which Ufa’s Salavat Yulaev hosted CSKA Moscow on its ice, has ended. The result of the game was the victory of the hosts with a score of 2:0.

Josh Leivo and Nikita Zorkin scored goals among the winners. Salavat goalkeeper Alexander Samsonov reflected all 32 shots into his own goal and recorded his sixth shutout in the current KHL season.

This victory allowed Salavat to secure third place in the KHL Eastern Conference standings, with the team having 81 points. CSKA, in turn, remained in seventh place in the Western table with 66 points. In the next round, Salavat Yulaev will play with Ak Bars Kazan, and CSKA will meet with Dynamo Minsk.
