Rosstat: migration outflow from new regions amounted to 87.6 thousand people

From January to November 2023, 87.6 thousand people left new regions of Russia. This was reported by RBC with reference to Rosstat data.

However, the service did not publish information for each region separately.

Demographer Igor Efremov said that internal migration shows population growth, which should not happen, because internal migration is always zero. The expert considered that we are talking about an increase in migration exchange between the territory of Russia within the borders of the beginning of 2022 and four new regions.

Rosstat noted that most often residents of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions want to move to the Krasnodar Territory or the Moscow Region. 14 thousand and 13.9 thousand people left for these regions.

Let us recall that in September 2022 new regions of Russia became part of the Russian Federation as a result of a referendum. Martial law has been introduced in the regions.

Earlier, Rosstat reported that the average salary in the Russian Federation in 2023 reached 71 thousand rubles. It is noted that over this period of time, wages have increased in all areas monitored by the statistical service. On average, salaries increased by 13.8% in nominal terms. According to the service, the average payment increased to 71 thousand rubles. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
