Orlov clarified that the first well will go to the expected location of the miners, the second will lead rescuers to the horizon of the mine, which is closer. This way it will be easier to assess the situation inside.

After the wells are ready, cameras specially delivered from Novokuznetsk will be lowered into them.

“The clearing of the rubble continues. At night, specialists plan to begin constructing a concrete lintel that will protect against water and repeated collapse,” Orlov said.
