Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a video conference meeting with 26 heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation on September 28. About it reported on the Kremlin website.
The meeting will be attended by heads of regions in whose territories elections of heads of supreme executive bodies took place this year. The message clarifies that on the same day the president will attend a gala concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the poet Rasul Gamzatov.
Vedomosti sources reported the date of the meeting with elected regional heads on September 26.
Elections of regional heads were held in Russia on September 10 (in most regions – within three days from September 8 to 10). In direct elections, they voted for the heads of 21 regions, another five regional leaders (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions) were elected to legislative assemblies.
Putin traditionally holds meetings with elected governors after the single voting day. The current meeting is distinguished by the scale of the regional election campaign and the fact that it took place before the presidential elections, which will take place in March 2024.
